Subject: | [amigactive] 1260 problem |
Hello,
Due to a problem with my Apollo 1260 not working, I have now bought a
Blizzard 1260.
However I am having problems. The computer takes several attempts to boot
up. Initially I was constantly getting an error of:
*Resident*
*Program failed (error #80000003)*
**
Just for the hell of it I commented out all resident commands in my
startup-sequence.
The computer will now boot 1 time out of 4. The other 3 times I get the
following error.
*Ram
**Program failed (error #80000004)*
Things I have done:
1) Deleted Apollo 040/060 libraries and installed Blizzard 040/060
libraries.
2) Deleted Apollo *cpu60* command from startup-sequence.
3) Tried a clean startup-sequence (OS 3.5)
Only other thing I can think of would be to try a new SIMM. I had a 32Mb and
a 16MB SIMM on the Apollo, and with either of these on the Blizzard I get
the same booting errors. I do not know if they are EDO or not. The recent
thread about MicroDirect mentioned the 64MB SIMMs were OK with the Blizzard
1260, so if no other suggestions from people clear up my problem, I shall
look into buying one of those.
All help is appreciated....Lawrence Jeffery
